Grant Trucking – Our Story
Dave Grant Trucking has proudly served the community for over 50 years as a family-owned and operated business. Our story began in July 1973, when Dave Grant purchased a 1968 Kenworth cabover and rented a trailer, hauling hay loads to a local feedlot. Through hard work and dedication, he expanded his operations, eventually buying more trucks and servicing several local feedlots and dairies. As his reputation grew, so did his customer base, extending into other markets and areas like California. To ensure efficient operations, Dave began hauling building materials as return loads to Utah, which became a pivotal aspect of his business.
By July 1979, Dave Grant Trucking was incorporated. Dave’s commitment to quality and service soon made his company the house carrier for a large insulation company, necessitating further fleet expansion. The business evolved, incorporating various materials and transitioning into a reputable flatbed and hay company. For the first 10 years, Dave managed dispatching, hay buying, mechanics, and sales himself. Today, he runs the company side by side with his sons, David and Tom.
Dave Grant Trucking is recognized as a quality performer in flatbed transportation. Our team of highly trained drivers impeccably maintained late-model equipment, and unwavering dedication to quality and customer service set us apart. Our slogan, “getting what you need, where you need it, when you need it,” encapsulates our mission to deliver reliable and timely service.
Dave attributes the company’s success to hard work, good customers, good employees, and strong relationships with both. Known for his honesty and integrity, he has built a company that continues to grow, now including a fleet of flatbeds and dump trucks. We achieve our high standards by equipping our team with the best tools and training, maintaining a sharp focus on customer satisfaction. Our ongoing commitment is to ensure the success of our customers, employees, and company.
